Getting from A to B

I’ve been re-learning French (as I studied it as a teenager) for two whole weeks now. I’ve been diligently spending between 10 minutes and 30 minutes every day on it and I’m enjoying it.  It’s not too onerous, I can see progress and it’s fun. It’s something that I really want to do. It’s in line with a dream that my husband and I have of buying a place in France, so there’s a bigger purpose behind my goal.

One of my other goals to pursue a new line of work. I’m diligently meditating on it and intending good things to happen, I’ve even said no to work that I’ve decided is no longer for me. Still … nothing.

Action without vision is a nightmare. Vision without action is just a dream!

The new work I am envisioning is around cultivating compassion in the workplace, for the sake of a kinder, more caring, loving and generous world. Although this is totally aligned with my bigger purpose, I am realising now that I need to take further action to take these good intentions and make things happen!

So I’ve just taken my first small step in naming this here. My next step is to write an article about compassion in the workplace. Watch this space...

Another goal of mine is to spend more time with the love of my life. I’m doing pretty well with that, and he’s just got back from work, so I am going now!
